In March, the Charleston Wine + Food Festival will host chefs, winemakers, and foodies from far and wide for a five-day celebration of Charleston’s culinary excellence. If you’ve never participated in the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, this year is the perfect opportunity to indulge in the best of Charleston’s amazing culinary offerings. We are proud to offer three exclusive packages from our charming properties - guaranteed to fill your belly and feed your soul.

Wentworth Mansion | 149 Wentworth St. Charleston, SC 

A 21-room tribute to Charleston’s gilded age, the historic Wentworth Mansion exudes the glamour and grandeur of the Holy City. Thursday, March 5th from 4:00PM - 6:30PM

The weekend festivities begin on Thursday at Winederlust on the Kiawah River on Johns Island! Featuring varietals from around the world, this event will satiate every wine drinker’s palate. Dress code is Lowcountry casual. Everything happens for a riesling and after last year, this event left us on cloud wine, chanting “sip, sip hooray!” So, uncork + relax, because it’s back. Featuring varietals from around the world, this event will satiate every wine drinker’s palate. You’ll taste the vino rainbow as you sip waterside under the stunning live oaks of Lowndes Grove Plantation. Enjoy the spectacle of live-fire cooking and the unmistakable soundtrack of crackling embers + seductively smoky flavor that only burning wood can provide. A little piece of wine heaven has been carved out right here in the Lowcountry and we guarantee you’ll have a grape time. No passport required. Transportation Included. 

Friday, March 6th 12:00PM - 1:30PM 

 On Friday, you’ll journey to the Royal Tern Wine Lunch. Nestled in the heart of Johns Island, join Chef David Pell for an array of freshly prepared seafood and wine. Transportation Included. 

Friday, March 6th 4:00PM – 6:30PM

The day isn’t over yet; after a quick rest you will head to the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park for Shucked. You will get to enjoy a taste of sea as oysters take center stage.  Enjoy them raw, steamed, fried, or in a shooter (however you fancy), along with a bounty of other seafood inspired bites. Transportation Included.

Saturday, March 7th 12:00PM – 5:00PM

Head to the festival’s Culinary Village which is the heart and soul of Charleston Wine + Food Festival Located in downtown’s Marion Square, the Village is the ultimate culinary experience. Your Village ticket grants five full hours of tasting + imbibing. The main stage will be jamming all afternoon with a mix of music, chef demos + engaging conversations. The Hub will be back with food + beverage vendors, and our Artisan Market will be stocked full of incredible local and regional makers showcasing their masterful creations and unique flavors. You’ll definitely want to make your way to the Corkyard for a vast selection of vino, and of course, the Beer Garden for a sampling of your favorite suds. This year promises to be the biggest + tastiest Culinary Village yet. Transportation Included.

Saturday, March 7th 7:00PM - 9:30PM  

After a day at the village, guests will stroll over to the original carriage house in the rear of the property to experience Circa 1886 for an amazing Signature Dinner. One of Charleston’s most celebrated chefs, Marc Collins, welcomes Chef Kevin Mitchell and special guest, David Shields to his kitchen to create a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. These three will help produce a meal rooted in the history + flavors of Charleston. Go on a journey through the belly of South Carolina Foodways from its humble beginnings, multinational influences and what that means for modern day cuisine fused together from this rich history. Wines will be poured by winemaker Katie Bundschu of Gundlach Bundschu. Get ready to take your taste buds on a culinary world tour.

Sunday, March 8th 11:30AM - 2:30PM

Finish out the weekend at the Quarters H&I Lawn for Bougie Brunch.  We’re going all out for a bad + bougie brunch guaranteed to be as fun as it is extravagant.  As you chow down, a DJ will be spinning sick beats as fanciful performers provide a dazzling spectacle. Transportation Included.

The Gourmand Package includes a 3 night stay for two people in an East Wing Room.  The package is offered at a special rate of$3,440 (plus 14% tax) A deposit in the amount of $2,060 will be due at the time the reservation is made. Cancellations must be received by 1/9/2020 – any cancellations after this date will forfeit their deposit.

Kick off your weekend at the Grocery Signature Dinner.  Over the years, our Signature Dinners have become a staple Charleston Wine + Food experience. The unique dinner brings together the perfect pairing of beloved local chef Kevin Johnson and prestigious a winemaker for one unforgettable evening. The menu is made to harmonize and surprise. Transportation Included. 

Friday, March 6th from 12:00PM - 5:00PM

Your Village ticket grants five full hours of tasting + imbibing. The main stage will be jamming all afternoon with a mix of music, chef demos + engaging conversations. The Hub will be back with food + beverage vendors, and our Artisan Market will be stocked full of incredible local and regional makers showcasing their masterful creations and unique flavors. You’ll want to make your way to the Corkyard for a vast selection of vino, and of course, the Beer Garden for a sampling of your favorite suds. Go glamping Charleston Wine + Food style at Kiawah River on Johns Island for Corkscrews + Campfires.  There will be glampsites, there will be live fire cooking, there will be wine, and fun will be had without sacrificing even an ounce of comfort.  Dress code is Lowcountry casual! Transportation Included. 

Sunday, March 8th from 11:30AM - 2:00PM

You’ll finish out the weekend at the beautiful Wingate Plantation on Johns Island; because on Sundays in Charleston, we brunch, and what better way to start the final day of Charleston Wine + Food than with a tasty nod to The Holy City’s divine charm + flavor? We’re bringing soul back to this Gospel Brunch, with a sink-your-teeth-in culinary sermon led by a bold choir of Southern chefs who will create a proper Sunday mornin’, family-style feast. No brunch is complete without Bloody Marys, mimosas, and plenty of hand-clappin, foot-tappin’ hymns by a gospel choir. Don your Sunday best and don’t leave your hat at home! Transportation Included.

The package is offered at a special rate of $2,545 (plus 14% tax) A deposit in the amount of $1,665 will be due at the time of the reservation. Please keep in mind, transportation is not included in the package pricing. Cancellations must be received by 1/9/2020 – any cancellations after this date will forfeit their deposit.
