The South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (SCRLA)  celebrated the 67th Annual The Stars of South Carolina Hospitality Awards, honoring the best of the best in the state’s hospitality industry. The Awards were held Tuesday, January 21, 2020. The Stars of South Carolina Hospitality Awards celebrate the exceptional professionalism and outstanding service of top individuals in the hospitality industry.

The 67^th Annual The Stars of South Carolina Hospitality Awards were extra special last night because our very own Michael Hawes was honored as the 2020 Lodging Heart of the House Employee of the year. Michael, also known as “Big Mike” has been a part of Kings Courtyard Inn for 30 years. He works as the Kitchen Manager, but his impact on the company and the people around him is so much bigger than that. Each year 'Big Mike is a part of Charming Inns, it makes for a better year. Simply put, he brings out the best in everyone around him without even the slightest idea of the impact his smile and work ethic have on the people around him. Congratulations, Michael Hawes!
